Redo

Sometimes you just have to redo things. Sometimes you take breaks from things. Sometimes you intend to start something but you don’t really follow through.

All of those things are “normal” but, the only true failure is failing to start again.

I have a phrase that I think about sometimes:

“You’re always on a streak”

If it’s your first day going to the gym, then you’re on day one of a one-day streak. If it’s your first day of not going to the gym, then you’re on day one of a one-day streak.

So, maybe you’re on day/week/month 1, 20, or 250 of not doing something that you want to do. But you can break your streak of not-doing something just by doing that things once. So, write a blog post, or do one workout, or whatever it is.

You’re always on a streak.
